Purdue Fashion Show

This year, the Purdue Fashion Show was held on April 1, 2017 in the Purdue University Recreation Sports Center a.k.a. ‘the Corec’. If you haven’t heard of the Purdue Fashion Show before, this is where every fashion major at Purdue gets to show off all their hard work for the year. It’s also especially important for the seniors because they get to present their senior collection. This is made of six pieces they have been working on all year and the fashion show is where their vision finally comes to life.

Each senior gets to choose their models, music, and theme of their collection as well as, of course, hand creating all six looks.

In my opinion, watching the show is incredibly fun. One of my closest friends presented her senior collection and I couldn’t have been more proud and impressed at all that she has been able to create and accomplish.

Even if you do not know any of the designers, just watching what your peers are able to create is pretty inspiring. Plus, if you love fashion, it is a must. If you’ve never gone, I highly recommend grabbing a ticket to next years show.

Ticket prices varied depending on the view you wanted:

  • Row 1: $20
  • Row 2: $15
  • Row 3: $10
  • Row 4: $5

To me, my Row 1 ticket was completely worth it. I felt like I was in New York Fashion Week and who doesn’t want to that way??

You can check out a video I put together of plenty different senior collection looks and an interview with one of the senior designers, Anna Bowers.

Have a great rest of your week and remember… tomorrow’s Friday! I will have some ‘fun facts’ coming your way this weekend so keep an eye out.
